Vintage Tandy NIB DWP 230 Daisy Wheel Printer Start Price USD 175.00 Current Price USD 175.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, June 27, 2008 End Time Monday, July 07, 2008 Location Lake Elsinore, California See more about 'Vintage Tandy NIB DWP 230 Daisy Wheel Printer' Description NRFB TANDY DWP 203 DAISY WHEEL PRINTER This was never removed the box but the instructions, which are usually on the top or alongside are missing.  They could be somewhere inside the packing but I`m not sure.  This is still new.  Can probably download instructions from internet.  This printer prints at twenty characters per second, can accept paper up to 16.5 inches wide and has DIP switches on the back for changing various settings.  With the right cable, it can be connected to IBM-compatibles,  Tandy 1000 series computers, or the older TRS-80 Color Computer systems.  It is important not to use the wrong type of cable (even if it fits) to attach it to IBM-compatible systems. The DWP 230 uses Radio Shack 26-1458 or 26-1445 ribons, which can be purchased on websites or at times ebay.  This prints high quality solid letters,unlike dot matrix printers.  The font can be changed by inserting a different print wheel. Great for vintage computer collectors as it is hard to find new ones at this price. This is 2" over the regular size box so it has to be shipped as an oversize package.  Please consider that when you see the shipping fee.
