Too many reasons to list here but some important ones are: the board delivers Dolby Digital Home Theater Sound (This is an entertainment center after all!), it is upgradeable to 16GB of RAM (most boards are limited to 8GB), and it has 10 (!) SATA II internal ports. Why is the number 10 so important? Because most boards only come with six and there are 10 Hard Drive Bays in the case – if you ever want to upgrade to the maximum storage capacity you can certainly do so with this board! -         The unit has a Blu-Ray WRITER and HD DVD reader.
