This Rimage Autostar II system is supported by our in-house technicians and is in perfect working order. We guaranty it will arrive in working order. We are not just using this equipment in our own production, but we actually perform repair of Rimage equipment for others. We have enough expertise and spare parts to perform any repair or even complete system replacement if you need. All four drives are newly installed and tested and the same as used on new Rimage Producer III 7100/8100 models. So you get the benefit of new and improved writing without paying new system price. Optical drives have upgraded 150MB/s SATA interfaces to provide maximum throughput, stability and hot-plug capability. Rimage doesn't even provide that quality on Producer II systems, but only on Producer III 8100 model. You get it ONLY on our upgraded Producer II system at no extra cost. All other Producer II systems (Amigo II, Protege II, Autostar II) have firewire interface that is limited to 32-38MB/s and shared by all drives. But single 16x DVD drive writes at 22.2MB/s so when you write more than one disk at the time 32MB/s is shared between all the drives so they have to write slower based on speed of coming information. In contrast, on our system all 4 drives can write simultaneous 4 different disk images to 4 drives at their maximum 22.2MB/s and even faster. Upgrade to Blu-Ray is possible, just ask. Why Rimage: Difference between Rimage and almost all other systems on the market is that Rimage can write 4 different disk images to target drives at the same time while other systems can only write one disk image to all target drives. So if first drive have to slow down, lets say based on sensing problem with media, then all other drives will slowdown. Then if second drive has to slow down at a different place then all drives will slowdown again. Also, if you have to write 4 one disk jobs Rimage can do that in parallel while other systems will write this one-after-another using only one drive at a time and taking 4 time more time.
