First of all, this is the best value drive on the market at this moment. I purchased 2 of these drives and now have Blu-ray's in every room of the house (including my 2 PS3's, which were the best deal at that time). As for Vista...I'm afraid that the ''stooge'' I'm referring to needs to know that XP has in fact ''died'' and Vista is it. I have 2 desktops, both with Vista Premium and 3 laptops, all with Vista Premium and couldn't be happier. This drive was just the ticket. Great picture. The only drawback is the OEM Power DVD software doesn't give you Surround sound. Only stereo unless you upgrade. But I knew that before I bought it. This drive is no exception, but you do need to do your home work and make sure your computer is compatible .Older computers will present a problem. Your video card will need to support the HDCP format, that was a problem I had at the first I had a Nvidia 7900 I had to change to a Nvidia 8800 video card, after the change works great. Place a Bid!
