You are bidding on a RARE, TESTED IBM PC 5150 System w/IBM 5153 Monitor/2 Full Height IBM-logo Floppies and IBM DOS 2.10. The IBM Serial Number is 09436025150. This system is in great condition with few scratches or other signs of its age. This unit was manufactured and originally sold in the mid 1980s but is clean and in great shape. The System Unit contains: 640K Total System Memory 256K Memory on the motherboard and 384K Memory on included AST SixPak Plus Two Full-height IBM-logo floppy disk drives IBM Color Graphics Adapter (CGA) Serial Port for external modem or other connection (modem not included) Parallel Port for printer connection (printer not included) Standard power cord Cork footpads are intact. All screws are original except where we added some replacements where some were missing.The 5153 Color Display is THE Classic color monitor:Note that this system includes a working IBM (5153) Color Display. This monitor was designed to produce high quality color graphics and text with the original IBM PC/XT and AT when used with IBM's Color Graphics Adapter (CGA) or IBM's Enhance Graphics Adapter (EGA). This original IBM display offers: 12.5-inch screen (diagonal measurement) 16 foreground colors on any one of 8 background colors (two sets of 4 color each); 16 colors at one time with the IBM Enhanced Graphics Adapter. Up to 25 lines of uppercase and lowercase text, with 40 or 80 characters per line. Black-and-white graphics mode Brightness and contrast controls for viewing comfort Highlighting choices that include blinking, reverse image and high intensity The Original IBM PC Keyboard (its included):The original IBM PC's keyboard was an extremely reliable and high quality keyboard originally developed for a much more expensive IBM computer system. Each key was rated to be reliable to over 100 million keystrokes. Compared to the keyboards of other small computers at the time, the IBM PC keyboard was the benchmark standard of its time and played a significant role in establishing IBM's high quality impression. Byte magazine in the fall of 1981 went so far as to state that the keyboard was 50% of the reason to buy an IBM PC. The important info here is that you get one included in this system. Shipping and Handling these Vintage Machines:The exteriors of the system unit, monitor and keyboard have been throughly cleaned with mild, general purpose cleaners and glass cleaner for the monitor. The system unit has been opened and any existing dust blown out using low pressure, forced air. All boards in the system unit have been "reseated" to help guarantee they will be tightly connected when the system is delivered.The machine will be tested one last time before shipping and carefully packed to help guarantee that it will arrive at your doorstep in the same great condition that it leaves our shop.
