Description
Item Description You are bidding on one (1) CentreCOM MR908TX 8 PORT 100BASE-TX HUB The Allied Telesis AT-MR908TX is an eight port 100Base-TX Fast Ethernet hub which supports data rates of up to 100Mb/s. By strictly adhering to the IEEE 802.3u specification for 100BASE-TX Ethernet this hub supports eight RJ45 connections using either Category 5 unshielded twisted pair cable (UTP) or Type 1 shielded twisted pair (STP) cable. To connect more than eight Fast Ethernet devices, simply cascade a second hub from the built-in MDI/MDI-X port or stack up to five additional AT-MR908TX hubs by using the optional AT-MR901 Stacking Module. Through the combination of cascading and stacking, up to 94 users can be connected into a single workgroup. The AT-MR908TX was designed for maximum flexibility and ease of use. All cable connections are provided on the rear of the hub, making for simple and neat connection of LAN nodes, power and additional hubs. Each of the eight RJ45 ports has two LEDs; the Link/Activity LED provides visual status that the port has a valid link and that there is data activity with the connected node. The Error LED indicates when excessive errors have been received from the node and the hub has partitioned the port off-line. The hub also includes LED status indicators for Power, Collision and network Utilization. The five Utilization LEDs progressively indicate the percent (%) utilization of hub bandwidth. To enable the cascade feature for connecting a second Fast Ethernet hub, the LAN administrator simply repositions the MDI/MDI-X slide switch and attaches a cross-over cable from the first port on the MR908TX to any Fast Ethernet port on the second hub. The IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet specification limits the length of the cross-over cable to 5 meters or less. The result of this connection is fourteen Fast Ethernet ports available on two linked repeaters. When cascaded, the AT-MR908TX functions as a Class II repeater. Usually no more than just powering a unit up to see that everything boots and works. Software that is factory sealed is what it says it is. In case there is something missing or disfunctional in the sealed box, then you talk to the manufacturer about it. We usually don't have the same inventory twice. We don't sell junk and our feedback shows that. If there is any warranty left on an item, it is the buyer's responsibility to transfer the remainder of the warranty to them.
