Physical hardware has been produced and software development is underway. The advanced DOCSIS 2.0 features of the BSR 2000 will extend the abilities of system operators to offer sophisticated Voice and Data services. Motorola’s priority remains to fully develop and support the BSR 64000 product and this out of necessity means that the BSR 2000 development must follow the schedule of the BSR 64000. While there is much common functionality between the two systems the BSR 2000 development does require extensive system testing in its own right and this will extend the timeframe before commercial deliveries can be offered. The reviewed project timeline for the BSR 2000 now looks to provide sample product in September 2005 and commercial deliveries during November & December 2005.
